Automate Lead to Client Process

(0) ShareShare

I have been trying to automate Lead to Client process.
Right now, the process looks like
1) create a lead
2) qualify the lead
3) Record the opportunity
4) Mark as won
and after the 4th step, it becomes a client.

I want to automate this process by creating a lead and on the press of qualify button, it should directly convert into a client without taking me to opportunity screen ( but I want to record this opportunity for analytics purpose )

Can I have a workflow to achieve this scenario?

You should try custom action which will do qualifying/creating/updating necessary records and invoke that from javascript using custom Ribbon button.

Just return the contact id created from action as output parameter & then open the contact record once action is executed.

Automating closing the opportunity record when a lead is qualified

When we qualify a lead, we are taken to an opportunity page, and we always close it as "won". However, what we'd really like to do is go straight to the contact record that is created. It would be ideal if the opportunity record could be closed as won in the background, so our users never have to see this screen. Is this possible?

Or is it possible that the qualify lead button creates only a contact and not the opportunity? Then we could use a workflow to create a new opportunity in the background, and our users will never have to see the opportunity screen.
