Microsoft Portals: Get rid of the Help-Section

Posted on by 40

Hello together,

we are using the newest version of Microsoft Portals. Now we want to remove the “Help-Section”, which is shown on the picture, completely.

Does anyone know how to remove it?

Best regard,
Marco

    Hi Marco,

Had some fun with this myself.

It's part of the footer in the web templates.
Go to Portals > Web Templates > Footer

Remove the whole section with id="gethelp"

    Hope this helps,

    Kevin

Inside of your Dynamics 365 solution, go to Web Pages -> Home, and click on the Home localized content link. You will be able to modify the HTML of the page there.

Since the page is based on a particular layout/page template, you are going to have to make the changes here.

There are a few sections which make up that section, so you will have to find it, and change the HTML.

You can also modify the HTML in your browser window if you are logged in as an Admin User.

You can press F12 in the browser and select the element in order to see what the HTML looks like, so that you can find it on your page.
