View : link on 2 customer fields?

Hi,

We created a new entity which contains a field of type customer, and contains the list of top customer for each account manager.

In the dashboard we want to show to the account managers only opportunities that are related to his top customers.

As there is no direct link between the customer field on the opportunity and in the new entity, I don't see how I can created a view that would give me the correct result.

If using related entities, I have to choose either contact or account, and we need to show opportunities for both.

Is there a way to create such a view? Or can we achieve the same by another approach as how to store the top customer for each account manager?

Hi Birgit,

There is direct link between the customer field on the Opportunity and in the new entity, the direct link is Potential Customer Field.

Because your custom entity has a custom field of type customer, so this is their direct link.

Create N:1 relationship between Opportunity and the custom entity and add a mapping for customer fields.

If the top customer for the account manager is the Potential Customer of the Opportunity, this opportunity is the top customer for this account manager.

You could use advanced find to filter the data according to this condition to get the view.
