Details Master form patter - how to make Edit button put form in Details view

Hello, I want my grid to be read only and when the user click the Edit button, it changes the view to Details view. Can the Edit button be made to do this? Or it there something I can do in the datasource to do this? The form is a Details Master form patter. Thanks.

    I found resolution. Override form method Task. Task Id is 4471 for edit button. #define.taskEditRecord(4471)
