Non profit accelerator customisation

My understanding is that the Non profit accelerator is a template that can be extended, but it doesn't have the settings configuration option that takes you to PowerApps. If you navigate to PowerApps select nonnprofit hub it suggests its managed solution and although you can navigate to entities they cant be modified with a similar message that the managed solution cant be edited ...

Navigating to GIT hub and downloading the source code Zip doesn't help. I cant determine how to get to the code for the entities and make minor mods like disable fields etc.

Any assistance in getting started down this rout for the accelerator would be appreciated.
