10.0.47 PU71 Cancelled

We have received notification and noticed on LCS that the latest F&O version has been cancelled.
How is this going to affect our customers.  We have customers that have been experiencing a lot of problems with this latest version.
Will we be required to do a rollback for the customers that are on this version already.  Is this possible, and if it is, is there a correct process to follow?

    There was some serious bug in 10.0.47 and therefore Microsoft removed 10.0.47 from LCS and I hope MS has released PQU 3 as well.

    Kindly let me know the issue you are facing with the latest version and we can check the same in LCS, whether the issue has been fixed from MS or not.

    No, we can't rollback the current version which we have already deployed.

    Till the time this response, the issue is still not fixed. In case you have updated your Live environment, best you reach out MS support at your earliest with SAV A priority. 
     
    Also, I already recommend to keep your production environment (s) N-1 version , dont rush for latest release until r unless the latest update have any critical fix for your business.

    Hi,

    I noticed that yesterday, a new 10.047 Proactive Quality Update has been released. This has application version 10.0.2527.109. I understood that this should have a fix included to prevent the number sequence issues from happening again.

    Hello, the update was cancelled caused a important bug on gaps over continuous sequence number, this problem is very critical in Italian context where invoice number use that type of sequence numeration.
     
     
    The Quality Update fix the problem, we have tested it, but Microsoft has identify some major performance issue and the installation of PQU3 and not suggest to release it
     
    This is official position of Microsoft:
    The PQU3 released yesterday, restores the continuous number sequence code back to the last known working state is available, but the environment could experience performance issues after manually applying the quality update or receiving PQU 3.
    Also, this PQU3 does not contain any mitigation solution to remediate any remaining gaps in the continuous number sequences; the Product Group team continues working on this remediation plan.
     
    Right now we are waiting go no go from Microsoft to release the QU. Meanwhile the update is cancelled and next update will be 48, but if you are on 45 like us you cannot pause the update on the first windows, for do it you have to open other ticket.

    Hi all,
     
    I am curious to know how everyone was made aware of this pause? Was there a mass communication that was sent out from Microsoft? We were informed of this yesterday (May 7th) by our partners, and I see now that there was messaging in LCS but is there a way to be automatically notified of things like this? We are working to broaden our visibility, and it would be helpful to know how we can tune in further (outside of subscribing to communities) to avoid any last-minute surprises.

    Hi,
     
    Initially, several clients started to complain and on a feedback group (Viva Engage) discussions started. Once Microsoft was able to reproduce the issue, they acknowledged that there was an issue. At that time, an issue was already available. Then they searched for the possible changes done in the software and concluded that the last known working version was before two quality updates. At that time, they created the message in LCS and on Power Platform admin center in the message center. Partners got the message at the same time as clients.
     
    Next to monitoring the message center, you can become part of several groups on Viva Engage to be part of discussions on platform updates or early reviews: Request access to Finance and Operations Viva Engage Community
