I got useful information for Combine XPO Tool from MSDN.

I'd like to try to use the tool in my project, but I doubt that how the tool works.

My main question is as below.

XPO "A" has a "A" method, and XPO "B" doesn't have a "A" method in the same object(e.g. table, class, form or somewhere)

Then, how the tool works in this case?

Will it add "A" method or remove?

Combine XPO is normally used for combining .xpo files of individual objects from a single branch in version control, where no element can occur twice.

I don't know what you want to use Combine XPO for, but I don't think it's going to work, therefore you'll have to change your plans. It won't merge several implementations of the same object, such as a single class. It'll either detect the problem and fail, or it'll include both versions and it'll likely fail on import. You can try it to see what exactly happens, but I don't think you'll get what you want.

I think the tool is intended for merging xpo's to one xpo, but not to resolve code conflicts. So you could for example export multiple xpo projects from your dev environment, combine them and import to test environment. In this use case there can't be conflicts between the xpos.

But you can test it yourself, please let us know how it works!
