Blurry Entity Icons

Most of the custom entity icons that I upload look blurry. What am I doing wrong?

I tested with exact same looking icons.  "Appointment" icon in the image below is the out of the box icon. "CP Appointment" icon is the custom icon I uploaded. It looks blurry. It is exactly the same looking icon. In Illustrator, I found the calendar symbol in the Segoe MDL2 Assets font. Converted it into a vector file. Sized it to 32x32. Set the color to #000000. Saved as svg. Anyone else figure out how to solve this issue? I have to design quite a bit of custom icons. Any tips on getting the icons to look crisp and clear?

    I would make sure that no padding at all an try again. Even these little pixels can mess things up for the experienced eye (like you). In my opinion (not experienced eye), your icon looks good

    The canvas is set at 32 x 32. But the graphic is 32 w x 30 h. So there is a padding of 1 px at top and  1px at bottom.

    In your design, have you made sure that there is no padding around the icon at all?
