Yes, we have been dealing with this (IE script error in GP home page) issues many times, and it is mostly related to Office Web Component or it may need clean-up for %appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\UserData\ or clean-up in %TEMP%

HOWEVER, this time, is rather quite unusual case.

Internet Explorer Script Error An error has occurred in the script on this page.Object doesn't support this property or method

All the below necessary actions have been taken:

Downloaded and installed the latest version of the Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML)

Downloaded and installed the Web Components for Office 2003 & XP.

IE> Tools> Internet Options> advanced> Tick "Disable script debugging check box" and Untick "Display a notification about every script error"

IE> Tools> Internet Options> Tools> Security> Internet> set to Default Level.

Delete all files in %appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\UserData\   and   %TEMP%

Disable all the antivirus and antispyware.

Start > Run > cmd     ----   regsvr32 MSXML3.dll

Start > Run   ----  Regsvr32 vbscript.dll

Start > Run  ----  Regsvr32 jscript.dll

Under GP "Customize Your Home Page" --- Untick "To Do" untick "Microsoft Outlook", untick "Metrics", untick "My Reports".

All the above steps have done, but the script error still prompted after logon to GP. Please advice, many thanks in advances.

You should try re-installing the Microsoft Office 2003 Web Components. If that doesn't work you should create a dexsql.log to further troubleshoot. The dexsql.log should help with determining the exact cause of this error.
