Hi, I need to delete the UPG objects from a NAV 2017 Database prior to upgrading it to Business Central on prem. Upon trying to delete the object (both from PS and manually deleting the object from the object designer) I am getting the below error :
Delete-NAVApplicationObject : : The schema synchronization may result in deleted data. The following destructive changes were detected: Table: 104054, UPG Approval Setup: Deleted Examples of code to migrate data: DataUpgradeMgt.SetTableSyncSetup(DATABASE::"UPG Approval Setup",[Upgrade Table Id],TableSynchSetup.Mode::[Mode]);At line:1 char:1+ Delete-NAVApplicationObject -DatabaseName LitusTrading_NAV17_Live -DatabaseServe ...+ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ + CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (:) [Write-Error], WriteErrorException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : Microsoft.PowerShell.Commands.WriteErrorException,Delete-NAVApplicationObject
Any ideas how to go about this, please? Should I just Force Sync ? Reason why I have to delete such UPG objects as they were left in the database from a previous upgrade (from NAV13 to NAV17) and cannot have them in the database for this upgrade to BC on Prem.
Thanks in advance :)
You have two options:
- Force to Delete the table.
- Create an UPgrade Coduenit setting the table Syncomode to Check. If the table is empty you could do it.
