Will Navision 2009 R2 work on a Windows server install newer that 2012? It's strictly being used for historical lookups.
NAV 2009 is out of support since a while now.
It has never been tested nor supported with WS 2016 onwards. The same is valid for W10 Client.
Unpredictable results might arise and there is no guarantee it could work smoothly or even install appropriately.
Best would be to have separate VM with WS2012R2 installed only for that purpose (access historical data in read-only mode)
Thank you. The client works in Windows 10 but we have noticed a loss of add in functionality but this is no longer critical for us. We will see about upgrading to Windows Server 2012 for this VM.
