I have enabled schedule booking for the opportunity entity and the Book button is visible in classic form but its is not visible in the Unified Client Interface form.
My Environment details:
April 2019 updates enabledServer version: 9.1.0000.4832Client version: 1.3.1741-190515-001134
Is there any scope to tweak for fix ? or its a bug?
It seems like D365 by design issue that 'Book' button isn't displayed in interactive form type even enabled Entity Resource Schedule.
While I found one workaround that you could manually add 'Schedule Board' in UCI's sitemap subarea to load schedule assistant like the following post:
My situation is the opposite of your situation. There is no Book button in the classic UI, it is in UCI.
Here are the steps I have to enable the Book button:
1. From the main menu, click Resources Scheduling > Settings > Administration.
2. Click Enable Resource Scheduling for Entities.
3. On the Setup Wizard - Enable Scheduling, click Add Entity and select Opportunity. Click Booking Relationship and select Create New Relationship. Click Requirement Relationship and select Create New Relationship. Click Publish Customization.
Please refer to these two articles about Service Scheduling:

In the different D365, Resources Scheduling will be one of the App or Sitemap Area, so this is why the Book button will only appear in one of UCI or Classic UI.
I have raised a Microsoft support ticket. If there is any progress, I will post here.
This problem is by design.
Please note, in URS 2.X, URS is only supported in web view, not UCI. In URS 3.X, URS is only supported in UCI.
In both cases, the book button is only available OOB in one of the two views, either UCI or Web, not both.
So the Resources Scheduling in your D365 is version 2.X, the Book button can only appear in the Web, and UCI will not appear.
Dear Lu, I am struggling with the same problem. In the UI there is not the Book button, did you found a solution?
