Is it possible to call the electronic messaging framework from code - e.g.: via a custom button? Lets imagine I want to call a webservice, using the Electronic messaging framework. This framework uses electronic reporting as export / import for the service communication, but I need a trigger, which will run the framework, not just schedule the messaging batch processing. This action should be triggered by users, using some button on a form.
You need a developer to create you the necessary buttons / menu items.
There is no problem to create a button and menu item, but we cannot find a way how to call the electronic messaging by X++ using this button.
Ok, we found a way how to solve it. Using the button, we create the first electronic messaging action "Create message", where we pass a value to "Additional fields". This value is then used for next steps as a filter condition (also for ER export, using mapping in the ER model configuration).
