Our organization is wanting to create a call list that will populate with every customer that our company has. We want to do this through the Telemarketing Tab inside the Sales and Marketing Module of AX 2012.
After creating a new call list in the "All Call Lists" section of Telemarketing, there is an option to 'Select Targets' under the Targets fast tab. Clicking this opens a window where you can click the Select button to display the parameters of the query that will run to select your call list targets. This is also where we are running into our problem. There are three preset tables the query runs out of that are unable to be removed from the query to my knowledge. When the query runs with these tables, our call list populates with only about 50 customers out of over 5000.
Does anyone know if there is a way to change these tables? I feel we could get the list to populate if we could simply remove the preset tables and use a different table to select our customers.
Thank you for your help.
Please let us know the case what you are refering to, is it a customized one or Standard Dynamics AX functionlaity
If query us retruning only 50 out of 5000, please review the query if there is any range specified in the query could be filtering the records
if you think that its due to the preset tables then consider how preset tables are joined.
I dont think removing preset tables will be a solution...
this will cause some logical issue as the data contained in the table will not be available.
Please verify and update us with your findings
Yes you can remove those tables and check while you run the query again.maybe u have selected any segments thats why it is not pulling whole data. check once and run those queries again one by one and then prepare your main query i.e formula.
The problem with the telemarketing functionality is that it is very old - older than the Global address book which is the obvious entity you would be selcting as "targets" for a telemarketing campaign.
What it selects are only contact persons in your system and I am guessing you have around 50 contact persons related to your 5000 customers. The CRM thinking in those days were obviously that you are talking to a person and not a company.
You can obviously change the query however it does not solve the underlying problem, that the targets list is a list of contact persons and not global address book ID's (Customer ID's in your case)
