We have EP deployed for the most part, but we want to deploy some EP webparts to a MOSS server that is not part of the topology. I followed the 1-2-3 steps here: http://blogs.msdn.com/solutions/archive/2009/04/03/integrating-ep-web-parts-to-non-ep-sharepoint-sites.aspx
And of course it doesn't work. I'm so tired of blog postings that give you 3 out of 18 steps. Anyway, does the Web application app pool must be the Business Connector account?
I installed the Portal role and made the modification to the master.page and registerd the site as web parts only. I then tried to add an AX webpart and it basically said .NET Business connection session not found.
In case you're following along, I reinstalled MOSS and made the Web Application App Pool account as the Business Connector and got past my BC session error.
Now I get no data and when I try to modify the webpart, I get "Unexpected error has occurred."
I was expecting it.
