Was wondering if anybody could help me as it's driving us mad.
We have a production order with a router that we have workers clocking onto daily so lets say " one person is working on this particular job 8 hours a day via the router. When it comes to logging his hours manually on the system to charge his hours against the job it only says he has worked 4 hours for some reason but he clearly has been clocked on it for 8 .... it's the same scenario with another worker.
We have other production orders that are not effected but asking our counter parts in the states we are getting pushed around and would rather get this sorted now.
Hope you all can help and fingers crossed its a tick box on a router of some kind!!
Sorry to double post, but does no one have a clue ?
This sounds peculiar and its unclear what version you are on, whether booking through a route card or via Shop floor module.
A Job card journal posting is controlled by the parameter setting in
Shop floor control-->Setup-->Production-->Production Parameters (specify its a time journal in the General tab)
AX will post the Report as Finished for the last operation while doing the clock-out and the Job card journal for the reported quantity for that stage.
For labour hours, calculate, approve and transfer the registration using the approve forms. AX will post the Autobooked Job card journal for the labour hours based on the clock-in and clock-out times.
On the Resource requirements tab there are two fields you maybe should also check
“Number of resources'.
Check those are both set correctly for your way of working.
Consider whether e.g. 2 operators should be treated as a combined resource group with 200% efficiency.
As a general background see the Ax 2012 concept papers:
'Allocating resources based on resource requirements'.
'The concept of routes, route versions, and operations'
