I installed a new ax 2009 client in a new server because the old one was corrupted. How can I move usage data to new client?
the usage data resides in the database, so no matter where the client runs the users will have the same usage data. Therefore there's no need to move the usage data to the new client.
As Nikolaos said, the users values data is stored in the syslastvalue system table, as you just install the new AX2009 client, the DB didn't change, so the usage data will not change.
I have installed a new client for the same AOS and DB, but the client has not form customization from usage data.
If I open the old one, it has customizations, but not the new one. Maybe I have to change something?
First of all, you can open the Usage data form from the new client and see that it has the exact same contents (as long as both clients are connected to the same AOS/system, using the same user account). If there's a difference, then the new client is not connected to the same system than the old one.
If you can see the same usage data in the Usage data form, then perhaps this new client has a different kernel version. And this means that the personalizations might not work. You can check the kernel version in both clients by opening the "About Microsoft Dynamics AX" window via the Help icon in the top right corner.
After upgrade the kernel version, the problem still remain. Now the kernel version, the DB and AOS are the same. Any other hint?
Are you sure you're trying with the same user in both clients? Did you check that you see the same usage data in Usage data form? Any screenshots that you could share?
Usage Datas are the same, i just downloaded both usage data table in excel and it counts the exatly number of records.
Thanks. Could you share any screenshots of the actual problem?
