Anybody have same experience with me?
After user scan barcode, or input manually the SKU/Barcode, it needs 14 seconds, before the item appear on the POS.
We have implemented Ax retail pos 2009, but the respond is very fast, less than 1 second.
We dont use offline database, I don't know whether the offline database has relation with this or not.
I have had this similiar issue happen on our Dynamics POS 2.0 system. It turned out to be the customer pole display compatibility. With the pole display off, the information is entered quickly. I think, but cannot recall, we changed the amount of display characters the POS scrolls when not in use (greeting) or it may have been a bad USB to serial connector.
finally we made it. because we migrate from AX 2009 retail to AX 2012 feature pack, there is a bug when migrating trade agreement, it populate so many price group, making the pos confuse when fetching price
Try looking at this setting, note the following is quoted from another source
"POS performance can be impacted significantly by the sql connection pooling setting in the connection string in the file pos.exe.config. Pooling=True is much faster. The AX2012 FP didn't have this setting by default. AX2012 R2 does have this setting by default. "
