Ready to serve! We’re thrilled to kick off the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2025 Year-End Blog series—get ready for insights, tips, and everything you need to wrap up the year with confidence!
Planning the 2025 year-end is a bit different this year as we anticipate slight delays in some changes due to the recent government shutdown.
Despite the delay, we are committed to releasing any necessary changes as quickly as possible and will post updates on the
US Year-End page. This will help you determine whether your company needs to install the update.
This update includes all previous updates for Microsoft Dynamics GP, which means it will cover versions 18.5, 18.6, 18.7 and yes, the most recent 18.8 release.
As always, we aim to make things as easy as possible for you! The Microsoft Dynamics GP Support Team will be publishing blog articles with year-end closing information to help you plan for a smooth year-end close. These articles will address general questions about year-end processes for each module and any changes that may affect your Year-End processes for 2025.
The IRS has shared that it will roll out the OBBB in phases and is preparing new guidelines for the 2026 tax year, with no form changes for the 2025 reporting year.
Review the year-end pages below for detail list of changes and target release dates.
Below is the schedule of upcoming blog posts that I know will be useful to you:
November 11- General Ledger
November 12- Receivables Management

Note: The Year-End Update will be an all-inclusive update and includes all prior service packs, hot fixes, etc.
For Microsoft Dynamics GP customers if you install the 2024 year-end update, you will have
all the features noted in the October 2025 release.
Dynamics GP Learning is the headquarters for all your Dynamics GP Documentation needs. We continually add new information on the site. This is your go to source to learn about new features or maybe you have a new user in your company that needs to learn the product. Microsoft is gradually working our way through converting the legacy manuals. We believe in the strength of the Dynamics GP community, and we welcome additional contributions. The future is online for the Dynamics GP content because it's easier to maintain.
I hope the information above will help you to have a smooth and successful year end!
