When users log in to our CRM 2011 system through the outlook client, and go to contacts then click add to a Marketing lIst, then add the contact to the list after they save they are returned to the main contact screen. However the ribbon stays grayed out and whenever they click on any link they get this error message 'An error has occured in the script on this page' Line: 87 - Char: 1 - Error: Mscrm is undefined - Code: 0 URL: http:// meridio.reedsmith.com/.../edit.aspx?etc=2&id=%7b39BA6A1E-74D4-E311-BA69-0050569F3E7F%7d&pagemode=iframe Do you want to continue running scripts onthis page
What is causing this error and how can I stop users from receiving this error message? It is almost like the contact does not refresh. How can I stop users from this annoying situation.

No error only occurs when accessing CRM through Outlook. I will add a screnn shot.
thank you for using Microsoft Dynamics CRM Communities. I understand that the Script error occurs while accessing CRM through Outlook.
Does the issue affect all the users and client machines or particular one(s) only?
I recommend you to run the following on one of the affected Client machines.
- Cleaning out the IE Cache in IE using the following steps:
1. Internet Options > Browser History > Delete > select all options here beside the Preserver Favorites website data > Delete
2. Internet Options > Browser History > Settings > View Files > Select all the filed > delete selected files
3. Internet Options > Browser History > Settings > View Objects > Select all the filed > delete selected files
4. Internet Options > Advanced > Reset Advanced Settings > Apply
5. Internet Options > Advanced > Reset...> Select "Delete Personal Settings" > Reset > Close
6. Open the Windows Explorer > Type %temp% > Delete all the files
7. Restart Internet Explorer
- Ensure the option „Show add-in user interface errors“ in Outlook> File> Options>Advanced is disabled
Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Iam also facing the same issue & when follwed the steps mentioned by Nina, am stuck in "Internet Options > Browser History > Settings > View Files > Select all the filed > delete selected files", mentioned by her.
Here there are few java script files & am not able to delete them. So I left this steps & continue, but the error kept coming. What shall I do to delete those file?
Shall I create a folder in same path by copying the existing folder name, and renaming the current folder?
Thanks & Best regards,
I am facing same issue with this setup:
1. MS CRM 2013
Update Rollup 3 for MS Dynamics CRM 2013 SP1 - 18.104.22.168
2. CRM Client for Outlook
Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Service Pack 1 – Update Rollup 3 – 6.1.0003.0119
3. Office Version:
MS Office Professional Plus 2013 (version 15.0.4569.1506)
Above steps didn't work for me, as I have cleared every possible cache and temp files.
Any workarounds? Should something be imported to have Mscrm available in Outlook? I need it so I can open new dialog windows.
