We are having a marketing list, that contains people whom we have invited to an event. So we need to know, if there is a column where we can note the status of the invite (tentative, declined....)
We use CRM 2011 just for marketing list to be exported to excel and then use other 3rd party tool for bulk email. But can we check the status of every member in the marketing list.
You can create a report that runs on that list (Create Report > change Display In option). Once you generated the report, simply export it. Or you can write SQL query and check status that way.
Hi Just CRM,
The Marketing List, if it is Dynamic one, you cannot get this stored in the specific Table or entity in the database, so it is not possible to have the field in the Member, if static is also stored in the listmember entity which is hidden field.
So, you cannot have this flag field in the Marketing List.
My suggestion you create another entity then having 1:N Relationship from Marketing List to this new entity, put the subgrid in the Marketing List.
The entity is pretty simple you just need the Contact/Account/Lead lookup field to each entity and field status.
Everytime you create the Marketing List and you bulk email to them using the third party, you then create records based on the Marketing List type f membership (Lead, Account, Contact) give the field status = Invited (default one) then every time you get the new status, you just update to tentative, declined, or accepted.
Hope this concept could help you.
