Master plan by warehouse

Posted on by 2
Hi all,

I have a requirement to run master planning for warehouse A every day, and warehouse B every week. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks!

Running Master Planning is a batch job and can be filtered and scheduled. So, strictly, you may be able to do it, rather simply. I have not tried filtering by warehouse, but even if it can be done, be careful and test thoroughly. Companies with multiple warehouses frequently plan transfers for certain items, one warehouse replenishing another warehouse (especially if there is a primary manufacturing warehouse servicing distribution centers or branches). The first thing MRP does is delete planned orders that are not "Approved". I suspect demand placed on Warehouse A by warehouse B gets deleted and not recreated if you are filtered on warehouse A - and vice-versa. I have not tested.

I am curious about the business reason for wanting to do this . . .
