I sent for approval and you know what, I got this status

What is this imposed restriction?

Hello,

check your workflow and see if you have entry in flow that will remove restrictions from document.

It could be that the flow works as it should, but that the release of the document was not done after approval.

If the request was approved and you still get this error, I would look at the standard general journal batch approval workflow and compare it to your workflow. It seems like you're missing something in the step that releases the workflow. Or, you can post a screenshot of your workflow here and we can troubleshoot.

It means the approval request has been sent and the approver hasn't approve or reject it yet. So the sent record is not allowed for you to further action on. This should be the expected workflow behavior.
