I have a requirement to install multiple AOS in a single server. I followed the technet installation documents and installed DB, Application files and AOS. Everything is installed properly on my machine. I have 2 AOS in my services. The problem is, when i open the Ax client it is always opened/connected with the first AOS instance. When i stop the first AOS services and try to open the ax client it doesn't open and throws error "Connection with AOS could not be established". I searched alot on this issue but could not find a solution. Any helps would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
gentleman you can create a new configuration for client, the new configuration will be referring to other aos
you do not need to restart you aos or something else to connect to other aos.
just creation of another client configuration will help you to connect to other aos.
Then you can change the default configuration in Dynamics AX Configuration Utility.
But if you want to use both environments at the same time, don't depend on the default configuration. Instead, export configurations to .axc files and use them as a parameter when calling AX client (ax32.exe).
You can achieve this using configuration utility. Export the existing configuration file and configure the connection as per desired AOS server. Continue this process for all the AOS. You will be able to login after successfull configuration.
There are two process as below..
Do you want auto balancing your client as per active AOS. I mean to say , if AOS1 is stop, client should get connect automatically in AOS2. You have to create cluster configuration with both the AOS and client configuration should have both AOS.
you want simply 2 config file as per AOS connection. If you want this, you have to create 2 config file as per AOS connection in client configuration and export the config setup as per AOS name.
I have exported both the AOS configuration into .axc files. Am stuck. How shall i proceed further?
What problem are you getting.
Am still getting the error "Connection with AOS could not be established" when i open the ax client (with AOS 2nd instance)
The default configuration can be made to access the first AOS. AOS2 can be accessed using the exported configuration file which should be made to point to it.
I got it. In the Microsodt Dynamics Ax Configuration, Connection tab, I added my 2nd AOS instance with port. Now i could open ax client with both the instances.
You need to go to connection tab and the AOS details with correct port number.
