I have the following problem: Account number is 'TEMP001', when it should be 'EVER-CLI-XXXXXX', those x represent 6 numbers and are sorted as they are created. When creating a new account in Dynamics CRM, you fill in some data that is required fields, but only the account number is integrated and generated automatically by the system, so it is possible to view this client in Dynamics AX. I keep restarting the server every time to see if it works, someone save me, I do not know what it can be.
CRM doesn't have an auto-generated number out of the box, so it would have to be a customization that was built at some point. (Plugin / workflow)
If you generate the Account from AX does it get a proper looking number? It might be that it syncs over from AX.
Daryl, I identified that some wrong values had been passed in account creation through CRM. Anyway, we have to get around those parameters, and we do not enter too much information about the clients. Is there any workaround to circumvent this validation method, and allow any passed value in account creation to be entered in AX?
I wish I was more familiar with the AX side of things. :( Perhaps someone else can chime in and help out here.
