When a Navision user prints a check (report), is there a way to tell the request form to select the related report printer instead of the default Windows printer?
Thank you in advance for your support.
You can use the Printer Selection page to bind the report to a specific page. You can even define a specific report for a specific printer AND a specific user, if you like.
Thank Duilio for your answer, deeply appreciated.
We did just that in the Printer Selection page, The same report (check) was associated to the same printer for each user requiring to print a check.
Despite it, when any of these users wants to print a check the request form appears showing all the printers list and the selected one is the default Windows printer on that PC instead of the check(report) related printer.
Then it might be that you have some custom code in the application or a bug in the standard.
To double check / verify that this is working as intended you must be in touch with your implementing partner and deploy the latest Cumulative Update of the version that you are using and use the standard Cronos database. If this is working as expected - as it has to - then you have to deploy both platform and application from latest CU.
If the issue persists and your version is in mainstream support, your partner could open a support request to Microsoft.
Worth notice that Microsoft supports NAV 2016 onwards. All previous versions are out of mainstream support (no hotfix allowed unless it is a security leak)
