I want to know how long it takes until contacts in customer journey receiver their marketing emails exactly?
From my previous experience, it always takes 6h or even longer(only a segment and a marketing email tile), while a few minutes from someone else.
What criteria would impact the deliverability?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
There is no exact time as to when customers receive Marketing emails. When the product went GA, we were relying on the customer insights sync which would take up to 6 hours to process items - hence the 6 hours you saw. We just this last month finally moved the remainder of our infrastructure away from this in order to improve performance. Additionally over the preceding months, we've made a number of performance improvements (and continue to do so,) which has increased our mail delivery capabilities to ~500K per day. So we're looking at ~23K per hour processing today for email. And as you know, the re-evaluation for a segment takes place every hour so you will continue to see dynamic segments build. In working with customers, I've seen some recent investigations where we processed ~32K in about 40 minutes, so there is always variability. The more complex and larger journeys can take longer, but there is no exact science to the timing.
Hope this helps.
