I have a requirement to have power bi report dashboard for customized profile. There are customized permission sets too ,I am not sure if that can be the reason for dashboard to not appear by default in business central?
This is how my business central dashboard looks like:
the most typical problems that can occur when you create the Power BI report are in this doc. docs.microsoft.com/.../across-how-use-powerbi-reports-factbox
It coudn't really help me.Is it not possible to have power bi reports for customized profile?with some restricted permission sets?
Business Central Online already includes prebuilt Power BI reports out of the box, but any custom-built Power BI report can also be brought directly into the platform. In addition, Power BI Desktop gives users the ability to create reports and dashboards and share them to other users in their organization. for example to Embed Power BI Reports in Dynamics Business Central please refer to:
To embed Power Bi reports in D365BC, steps are the following:
1) create the report in Power BI connected to D365bc data
2) Publish the report o your Power BI Service workspace
3) In Business Central, when you go to a Power BI section and click on Select Report you can see all your reports published in your workspace.
You cannot directly embed an offline Power BI report (.pbix file).
